1. Who we are
NurseryRadar is a Florida business. Contact us at support@nurseryradar.com.
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone (optional), company, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We can’t see your password.
- Nursery details: business name, address, city, ZIP, phone, email, website, hours, policies, plant listings, prices, quantities and photos.
- Nursery directory: for nurseries that haven’t joined yet, we list public business information (business name, city, county, business phone, website and a short description of what they grow) gathered from the nursery’s own website and public business directories. We don’t publish personal information about owners or employees. If a nursery publishes a business email, we may use it to invite the nursery to claim its listing, and every such email lets it opt out. A nursery can claim, correct or remove its listing by writing to support@nurseryradar.com.
- Requests and quotes: plants, quantities, sizes, job ZIP code, dates, pickup or delivery choice, notes, reply details, and nurseries’ answers.
- Saved lists: plant lists and search results you save.
- Activity: searches, plant and nursery views, and taps on call, email, website and directions buttons, with the time and, if signed in, your account. We use these counts to run the Service and to show nurseries how often they’re contacted.
- Helper messages: what you type or say to the “Ask for help” assistant.
- Technical data: IP address and browser information, used for security, preventing abuse and limiting repeated attempts. We store IP addresses only in scrambled (hashed) form for these limits. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.
- Cookies and browser storage: one cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also stores unsent drafts and small preferences on your own device. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use it
- To run NurseryRadar: show listings, send requests and quotes, and keep your saved lists.
- To send email alerts about new requests, answers, prices, approvals and password resets. You can turn alerts off in Account.
- To keep the Service safe, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems.
- To improve the Service and, if paid plans start, to count activity for billing. We’ll tell you before that begins.
4. Who can see your information
- Everyone: approved nursery profiles and listings (business contact details, plants, prices if the nursery shows them, photos).
- Nurseries you pick: when you send them a request, they see it with the contact details you entered.
- Nearby nurseries: when you post a request to all nurseries near your job, approved nurseries within the distance you choose see the plants, quantities, sizes, job ZIP code, dates and notes. They see your name, email and phone only if you accept their quote.
- Our team: NurseryRadar administrators can see account and activity information to run and protect the Service.
- Your saved lists are private to you.
5. Service providers we use
- Hosting and email: Namecheap hosts the website, database and email.
- AI helper: messages you send to the helper, along with the names of plants and places on the site, are sent to Anthropic (Claude API) to produce an answer. We don’t send your account contact details to the AI.
- Maps: when you tap “Get Directions”, Google Maps opens with the nursery’s address.
- Fonts and spreadsheet reader: the site loads fonts from Google Fonts and a spreadsheet-reading library from cdnjs, which may see your IP address.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Requests, quotes and activity records are kept while useful for the Service and for records. Daily backups are kept for 30 days. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal reasons.
7. Your choices
- Change your password any time with “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in screen. To update your name, company, phone or nursery details, edit your nursery profile or write to support@nurseryradar.com.
- Turn email alerts on or off in Account.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete your account, by writing to support@nurseryradar.com.
8. Security
We protect the Service with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access checks on every request, and limits on repeated attempts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you don’t use anywhere else.
9. Children
NurseryRadar is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know by email or on the site before it takes effect.
